A New Home, Thoughtfully Finished

A full-home design created to feel familiar and comfortable.

The Beginning

When this home first came to us, it wasn’t lacking potential — it was lacking warmth. The entire home needed to be designed and furnished, which felt overwhelming to the homeowners.

During our home visit, they kept saying, "It just feels cold." The architecture was beautiful. The light was stunning. But the white beams and cool finishes made the space feel distant instead of inviting.

They wanted it to feel like home.

Reframing the Architecture

One of the first shifts was subtle but powerful. Instead of fighting the architecture, we leaned into it by introducing a deeper tone to the beams to give the ceilings weight and warmth. That single decision anchored the rooms and immediately softened the space. It even transformed how the existing wall color felt, suddenly warmer and more inviting, without requiring a full repaint.

It’s often the quiet choices that change everything.

Designing Around What Matters

Rather than starting with all new furniture, we began with what the homeowners already loved. In the grand room, a bold piece of artwork became the heartbeat of the space. In the main bedroom, a set of chairs became the anchor because our client couldn’t stop saying “I just love these, do you think you can make them work?”

Living Room Layout

With only one viable wall for both art and a large television, the layout was carefully planned to balance function and visual impact—allowing the artwork to remain a focal point while integrating the TV in a way that feels intentional, not dominant.

The Bedroom Layout

The bedroom was planned around her two favorite chairs, positioning them as a dedicated seating area that adds function and softness while shaping the overall layout of the room.

Living Room Design Board

Before a single piece of furniture was ordered, we worked through detailed design boards to test scale, proportion, and flow. This is where bold art, sculptural wood, and layered textiles were refined, ensuring the room would feel cohesive, easy, and lived-in — not overdesigned.

Primary Bedroom Design Board

In the main bedroom, the focus shifted from expression to retreat.

Layered textures, warm wood tones, and thoughtful contrast created a space that feels grounded and calm. Nothing is overly precious. Nothing feels forced. It’s refined — but comfortable enough to sink into at the end of the day.

The Result

What began as a beautiful but unfinished space is now a home that feels intentional, layered, and complete.

But the real shift wasn’t just in the rooms. It was in the experience.

The uncertainty of designing and furnishing an entire home, the endless decisions, measurements, timelines, and coordination, was no longer theirs to carry.

While they vacationed, we managed the details. We placed the orders. We managed deliveries. We oversaw the installation. We ensured every piece worked together.

They came home not to a project, but to a finished home.

Thanks Jaime!  I love how everything turned out!  So beautiful, comfortable, and warm.
